Say Hello to Mariposa!
First off...
I just can't function with all this cuteness! She is just soo stinkin adorable!
Mariposa originally came to me for a regular newborn session, at only 11 days old, the day of her session she sailed through with ease. She loved my camera as much as I loved photographing her. We were jiving for sure.
At the time of her session, I was already on the hunt for a new Bella's Babe because my sweet Londyn was getting ready to graduate the program. Midway through her session I just knew that Mariposa was the perfect fit to be my next Bella's Babe.
I couldn't be more thrilled in selecting Mariposa!

Mariposa's first official session as a Bella's Babe took place Last month in May. Today is her big debut!
Here are a few fun facts about Mariposa,
- Her favorite thing to do is to swing in her hammock by the window sucking up the sun.
- She loves to smile...A LOT!
- At just 8 weeks she can hold her head up without any wobble.
- She loves listening to ocean waves in her nursery.
- She loves being pushed in her stroller by her older brother and especially when he plays peek-a-boo with her.
HUGE Shout Out to Mariposa's Mom, Mari!
Since the beginning of the year, I have been so extremely busy, and she has been so patient with me as I transition through all the behind-the-scenes things. She has been a complete gem to work with.
It's not an easy task to take on the responsibility of being a Bella's Babe, there is a lot of work that goes into the program on both ends. Mari is definitely doing her part, and I couldn't be more appreciative of all her support and dedication to the program.
What is a Bella's Babe?
This is my third year of doing my Bella Babe Program! My three original Bella's Babes, Presley, Parker & Hunter will be making a grand appearance for their upcoming two-year-old birthdays! We have something super extra special in the planning for them.
In a nutshell, a Bella's Babe is,
Someone who is willing to go the extra mile!
Bella's Babes are the face of La Bella's Photography! By being active on social media, bringing visibility to their friends and family, creating excitement about their session experience and images.
Bella's Babe show up and represent La Bella's Photography.
They help me work through new sets and tweak them before I launch them. My Bella's Babes are PRICELESS to me!
Londyn's Journey as a Bella's Babe
It's bittersweet when one of my Bella Babes graduates the program and a new one arrives. There are so many emotions I feel on graduation day. On one hand the excitement of watching them grow each month and anticipating their one-year session, while celebrating each milestone along the way, to then, I'm not planning monthly Sessons for them anymore, or getting to see their growth each month in the same way.
Ms. Londyn was such a joy to watch grow up over this past year. And although I have made a lasting friendship with Londyn's family it's still weird not planning a session around her.
Londyn has been with me as I have grown into my in-home studio space, she has been through countless different lighting scenarios and so many sets that I can't even begin to remember.
Through the year her moms, Sulay and Liz, no matter what showed up to every session and together, the three of us worked as a team to get the most out of each set. We all meshed like a fine-tuned machine.
Below are some tips, tricks and advice from Sulay and Liz on how their experience went and what they learned over this past year to share with you to help you in planning your next newborn session with La Bella's Photography located in amazing Las Vegas.
Tips, Tricks, and Advice
- When asked what some of the things we did during the session to make them successful their response was, "We played music"...
..Bluey to be exact!!! Endless amounts of Bluey!! I personally would still be singing Bluey long after the session was over! LOL
"...We danced, we laughed, we all took on a role to make the session go as smoothly as possible for a little one who may not always want to cooperate". They continue, "Come prepared and both you and baby rested. Feel as if you are at home so that you and baby are relaxed and can have that perfect moment and perfect picture. If you think you need that snack, toy or comfort piece for baby make sure to bring it with you. It may just be what helped your baby stay calm".
- What advice would you give other parents to expect during their own session? "Be prepared to not always have that “perfect session”. Your baby is in control. No matter how much we prepared our little love bug didn’t always want to take pictures. She didn’t always want to be left on the props that were setup. We had lots of challenges and had to learn new techniques each time to make it work and get that good photo of her."
"Our most favorite memories about this past year, was seeing Londyn Grow! She grew so fast, and her photos truly captured so many different shots showing her personality"!
This is why I personally LOVE my grow with me newborn to beyond packages. They document your baby's first year and capture the most precious moments of all of their firsts that they will never do again.
- How do you feel about the overall Bella's Babe experience? "We went into this thinking we are going to get our son and daughters pictures together and it turned into so much more. If you know Gwen, you know how special she is and you know how much love she puts into her work. I never walked into a session and thought “this is going to be interesting” or “why are we doing this and wasting our time”. We gained what we hope to be a lifelong friend, and not only did we get to watch Londyn grow well so did everyone else who follows Gwen. While looking back at these photos and writing this my heart is full of memories we made, and we are forever grateful that she gave us this opportunity with Londyn".
They continued to say,
"We would like for all of Gwen's followers to know, we saw so many other photographers who did amazing photos but photoshopped so many details whereas Gwen was able to capture more of the natural beauty of our babies. Her prices were affordable as to where so many photographers truly make it so hard to afford even just one session with your new bundle of joy. I still remember to this day when she called us, she was so bubbly and was asking us so many detailed questions to make our session come out so perfect. From the colors we would like, how we would want the pictures to go because we were not only doing a newborn session, but we were also doing a sibling session. The colors and styles were so hard to pick from because we wanted it all lol. Gwen was pretty straight forward with us to what we would expect to get out of it and she met all of our expectations. Thank you for giving us this opportunity Gwen. We love you dearly and we hope we never lose this friendship, and we are beyond blessed to have been given this opportunity".
